Mode of Action:

Thifensulfuron methyl, a selective post-emergence herbicide, can be absorbed by foliage, stems and roots and translocated through out the plant. It can restrain the synthesis of valine and isoleucine, prevent the cell from splitting and kill the weeds cease growth and then die in 1 to 3 weeds after treatment. It can also rapidly breakdown on soil surface and has no injury on the second planting crop.

Toxicity:

Thifensulfuron Methyl is a low toxicity herbicide. The acute oral LD50:adult rat>5000mg/kg; the acute percutaneous(absorbed through the skin)LD50 for rabbit>2000mg/kg. It has slight irritation to the eyes in rabbit. Toxicity through inhalation for adult rat: LC50(4 hours)>7.9mg/L in air.

Schur.), Common Russian thistle( Salsola collina Pall), Bifid Hempnettle(Galeopsis bifida Boenn),Convolvilate Knotweed/climbing buchwheat(Polygonum convolvulus L.), Belvedreee(Kochia scoparia(L.)
